Abstract

Authentication is the first line of defense against compromising confidentiality and integrity. Though traditional login/password based schemes are easy to implement, they have been subjected to several attacks. As alternative, token and biometric based authentication systems were introduced. However, they have not improved substantially to justify the investment. Thus, a variation to the login/password scheme, viz. graphical scheme was introduced. But it also suffered due to shoulder-surfing and screen dump attacks. In this paper, we introduce a framework of our proposed (IPAS) Implicit Password Authentication System, which is immune to the common attacks suffered by other authentication schemes. IPAS is similar to the Pass Point scheme with some finer differences. In every "what youknow type" authentication scheme we are aware of, the server requests the user to reproduce the fact given to the server at the time of registration. This is also true in graphical passwords such as Pass Point.

Abstract

Power electronics assumes an essential part in controlling the system joined renewable energy sources. This paper presents a novel changeable or inconstant neuro-fuzzy control approach for the renewable interfacing inverter. The principle target is to complete successfully smooth reactive, functioning or allowing movement in two usually opposite directions power flow and nonlinear unbalanced load compensation all the while, where the conventional proportional-integral controller may end weakly because of the quick change in the motion to a great psychological depth of nonlinear framework. The joined ability of neuro-fuzzy controller in taking care of the instabilities also, derive a benefit from the procedures is ended up being sufficiently valuable to justify the investment of time or interest while controlling the inverter under having unpredictable ups and downs working conditions. The inverter in an effective manner controlled to make payment to compensate the harmonics, reactive power, and the current imbalance of a Three-Phase Four-Wire (3P4W) nonlinear load with created renewable power injection into the grid at the same time. This give qualities or abilities to the network to continuously supply/take up mentally an adjusted arrangement of fundamental currents at unity Power factor calculate even the surrounding or near by region of the 3P4W nonlinear unbalanced load at the point of common coupling. The proposed framework is created and reenacted in MATLAB/Sim Power System environment under distinctive working conditions. The computerized sign handling and control building based lab exploratory results are additionally given to approve the proposed control approach.

Abstract

Background/Objectives: Cloud computing offers various services with minimum management effort while provisioning resources via internet. Cloud clients are allowed to store their personal data at data centers, it will minimize storage maintenance in local systems. Methods/Statistical Analysis: Cloud computing environment facing huge issues with hardware and software vulnerabilities in maintenance and resources provisioning process. These vulnerabilities pose huge loss of data, confidentiality, privacy and availability. Findings: In this paper, we studied and concentrated on various attacks in Virtualization environment and the possible attack scenarios in each platform. Application/Improvements: In the final section, we studied and described all types of attacks.

Abstract

Considering the importance of safe food, avoiding of excess pesticide application and pesticide pollution the present study was conducted. In this experiment totally four pesticides were tested against cowpea aphid Aphis craccivora under pot culture experiment at College of Agricultural Technology, Theni. Among the four acetamprid 20 SP (0.125g/ml) proved highly effective against Aphis craccivora compared to the rest of the pesticides with mortality of 98.75 per cent. In case of dosage wise acetamprid 20 SL (0.125g/ml) and imidacloprid17.8 SL(0.25ml/l) proved to be highly effective with mortality percentage of 98.33 and 86.66, respectively. Thus, it is concluded that all the studied pesticides, Acetamprid proved effective to control the cowpea aphids.

Abstract

A study was conducted at Department of Entomology, Annamalai University, Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu during 2000-2002. The meteorological parameters such as maximum, minimum temperatures, relative humidity, rainfall, wind velocity, hours of sunshine were correlated with mite population and correlation coefficients obtained were revealed that maximum, minimum temperature and wind velocity were positively correlated. Relative humidity, rainfall and sunshine were negatively correlated. The increase in these parameters decreased the mite population. By using the regression equations mean mite population /8mm² can be predicted for a given set of meteorological parameters. A unit increase in maximum temperature keeping other parameters constant resulted in increase in population of 1.31/8mm² area. In contrast, a unit increase in rainfall resulted in decrease in mite population of 0.83/8mm².

Abstract

A laboratory experiment was conducted at Department of Agricultural Entomology, Annmalai University, Chidambaram to know the efficacy of some pesticides and biopesticides against A.guerreronis. The treatments used were Phytopalm 1.5g, Phytopalm 1g, Neem azal 1 per cent, Fortune aza 1.5 per cent, Neem Seed Kernel Extract 5 per cent, Neem oil 3 per cent, Nochi leaf extract 3 per cent, Calotrpis leaf extract 5 per cent. For comparing the efficacy of selected botanicals and monocrotophos 0.04 per cent was used as treated check in Randomized Block Design with five replications.

Abstract

Scanning Sky Monitor (SSM) on-board AstroSat is a wide-field imager to monitor the X-ray sky in the energy band 2.5-10 keV. The primary science objective of SSM is to detect and locate transient X-ray sources in the sky. Once detected the information is to be provided to the astronomical community for follow-up observations to do a more detailed study of the source. Long-term monitoring of known X-ray transient sources is also one of the science objectives of SSM. The instrument constitutes three units of 1D positionsensitive propotional counters with coded masks on each, all three mounted on a platform capable of rotation to scan about 50% of the sky in one full rotation. The angular resolution of each unit in SSM is 12' x 2.5°. Sensitivity of SSM is ~30 milliCrab at 3 sigma in 10 min integration time. This article briefly discusses the instrument and a few early results since the launch of AstroSat.

Abstract

Mutations were induced in blackgram (Vigna mungo (L.) Hepper) varieties namely ADT 3, ADT 5 and APK 1. Different types of macro mutants and micro mutants were screened in M2 generation. The frequency and the spectrum of the viable mutants were estimated in M₂ generation both in M₁ plant basis and M₂ seedling basis. The highest frequency of viable mutants was recorded in ADT 3. Mutation spectrum was much wider at 60kR and it was narrow at 50kR. The variety ADT 5 had recorded wider spectrum at 60 kR and APK 1 showed higher spectrum at 50kR.

Abstract

The seasonal incidence of coconut eriophyid mite, A. guerreronis was studied during November 2000 to December 2001 in coconut plantations at Kadavasal, Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu. The incidence of mite was found throughout the year. But the peak incidence was observed during dry climate April, May and June and started declining during wet climate July. The correlation between temperature, rainfall and mite population revealed that the population density was positively correlated with temperature and negatively correlated with rainfall. The prediction model has been developed for the given set of parameters.

Abstract

The mutagenic effectiveness and efficiency of gamma rays viz., 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80 kR in three varieties of urd bean cultivars namely ADT 3, ADT 5 and APK 1 were studied. The effectiveness of gamma ray shows a consistent relationship of lower doses of gamma ray was found more effective in M₁ plant and M₂ seedling basis. The high effectiveness was recorded in ADT 5 at 40 kR followed by 50 kR in ADT 3 and APK 1 at 50 kR on M₁ plant basis. In M₂ seedling basis the high effectiveness was recorded in ADT 3 at 50 kR followed by ADT 5 at 40 kR and APK 1 at 60 kR. The mutagenic efficiency directly proportional with the increase in the dose among all the varieties studied.

Abstract

Coconut (Cocos nucifera (Linn.) is a multipurpose crop on commercial importance. Coconut grown in an area of 1.84 million hectares in India with annual production of 125.97 million nuts, Tamil Nadu with an area of 3.24 lakhs hectares holds the third position in the country with an annual production of 3.158 million nuts. Though India is in the fore front in coconut production in the world, the productivity is as low as 40 nuts per palm per year. There is an commence need to identify cultivars and hybrids suitable for manufacturing various industrial products such as coconut oil, desiccated coconut, shell charcoal, coir and coir products etc.

Abstract

A Multiband vivaldi antenna is designed to operate in the X and Ku bands and simulational results are presented in this paper. Along with the ultrawide band, this particular vivaldi antenna is working in the range between 7 to 20 GHz at different resonent frequencies. Gain of more than 9dB and bandwidth enhancement of 0.92% can be achieved using this model. All the antenna parameters including design considerations and field distributions are presented in this paper.
